Provided by YP.comPerhaps this is the case with all small local VA clinics, but the clinic is virtually useless if you have any serious health problems or need any type of immediate care. I am a combat vet (Viet Nam) and the red tape and government bureaucracy is monumental. It is supposed to be a BENEFIT, but it is more of a roadblock at every turn. The staff physician Dr. Kuhn left the office. He was outstanding BTW, and has not been replaced. If you have an issue, you are told to go to some other non-VA facility for care. You are pretty much going to pay for that coverage with some other insurance or out of pocket. Virtually about the only thing they can do is send you to Tomah (2.5 hour drive), take blood pressure, temperature and not much else. Even prescriptions can be gotten faster at WalMart pharmacy and cheaper. If you get sick, you get the runaround and not much help at all.
