Okefenokee Technical College, founded in 1965 and located in Waycross, Ga., offers a variety of programs and services that support workforce development. The college has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students and provides technical and adult education and training services to meet the needs of the community. It offers subjects, such as business office technology, computer information systems, medical assisting, and paramedic, radiologic and surgical technology. It also offers cosmetology, early childhood care and education, air conditioning and automotive technology, automotive collision repair and drafting. Additionally, it offers electronics, forest, industrial systems and welding and joining technology.
