Provided by YPmobileI went in for spasms in my gallbladder area. I was quickly shuffled to a room where they immediately did urine/blood tests. 8 hours later after a CT and ultrasound, they tell me I have a UTI. It took 8 hours to tell me that? My discharge was rushed and I went home with zero confidence that the problem was actually fixed. Went to pick up my prescriptions only to find out that they never sent one over to the pharmacy. When I called to let them know, I was treated as a liar (they claimed the script was handed to me in my discharge paperwork) and was told that they couldn't do anything for me even though they had a record that they NEVER handed me the script. I will definitely NOT be going back. Wasting 8 hours in a hospital to basically be dismissed? Yeah not ok

Provided by YPmobileApparently some of the nurses there. Think its OK to call people fat in the hallway outside there rooms. Reports have been filed . hopefully the nurses will be fired. I really hope how that low life treats people is not acceptable to the heads of the hospital. I say we contact the news if nothing is done

Provided by YPmobileMy husband is a diabetic who has been vomiting for 2 days and his blood sugar was ridiculous high so yesterday I brought my husband to Annapolis hospital in Wayne to find out what was causing his problem. They tested his blood sugar it was 451 didn't give him any insulin or didn't check Hes blood sugar again for another 8 hrs! Then released him saying that he needed to change his diet. Not even 24 hours later we r back at Annapolis hospital for the same thing. We have been sitting in the emergency waiting room for almost 3 hours and haven't seen anyone!! This is a pathetic!! How does anyone here have a job?!? I'm surprised this hell hole isn't closed down yet!!

Provided by YPmobileI sit here in the waiting room after 6 hours on the waiting room to see a doctor. Do not waste your time at this hell hole. The service is slow, rude, and disgusting. Never again. Should have went to St.Marys instead of this junk.

Provided by YPmobilePeople don't care and wont help. They will leave u to die in the waiting room saying they're are no beds open as the take everyone else in after u. You would be better off staying home! Go to any other hospital but this one! 2+ hour waiting for help! Glad it wasn't appendicitis or i would be dead.

Provided by YPmobileI have never had a good experience with this hospital. I went in with a horrible UTI, knew exactly what it was and just needed a prescription, the doctor literally argued with me about where the pain was, repeatedly telling me "is the pain in your bladder?" "No.It's in my urinary tract" "and your bladder?" "No" "it's your bladder". And then hands me a prescription for a bladder infection and walks out. Also nurse did the IV wrong. Friend came here because he had fallen about ten feet while skateboarding, and his ankle swelled to the size of a baseball. They gave him an xray said it wasn't broken and have him a brace and nothing else and told him to leave without medication of any kind. His mom took him to competent hospital the next day and they found out he had torn his ligament which is more painful and more serious than a break and got him on suitable pain meds immediately. This place is a joke.

Provided by YPmobileWorking in the medical field I try to give hospitals the benefit of the doubt, but having witnessed first hand, this is one of the worst hospital I have been in. It saddens me to say this, because patients trust their safety to us. My relative was on the cardiac floor and ordered breakfast. When I called at 1:30 in the afternoon, she still had not received her breakfast yet.

Provided by YP.comIt saddens me that I have to give such a low review however, I have been coming to this hospital since I was a baby and now that I am in my mid-thirties it has fell below good standards. I'm not sure if the problem is the hospital itself or the staff withing. I have had a total of 4 close people that have died at/or leaving this facility. Of the four, two are withing the last ten years and of the two one was released with "nothing physically wrong" with them. I cannot definitely say, or it hasn't been proven yet but "I" feel that malpractice is involved.
It's like to me, that they give as minimum medical attention as possible. I was there recently for a routine abscess and the treatment that I received caused me to get worse and I ended up in U of M hospital for 7 days. I feel that that this hospital needs to be evaluated.

Provided by YPmobileI came in with severe back pain from an auto accident. I was checking in, instead of giving me forms to fill out at a seat (which the waiting area seemed computable to a waiting area to visit death row inmates, one of the receptionists came in with a knife, not a kitchen knife, not a hunting knife, a stabbing knife, that they found from a patient. So what did they do? Instead of turning it over to the proper authorities, to see maybe if it had been "used," they decided to Jeep it for their break room. This places skeeved me out so much I left. The woman checking me in couldn't have been meaner. Their scanner wasn't working to make photo copies, and hadn't been for a while. Another sign off a bad hospital. I left, and will never go back.

Provided by YP.comBad nurses( not one nurse) told me there is no nursery station.
Do you believe a hospital for delivery doesn't have a nursery station?
These nurses deserve to be fired.
After I discovered today the did and the lied to me I'll do my best to kick them out.
don't ever go there.

Provided by YP.comThis review page is as bad as the hospital. I'm not going to retype all the stuff I just wrote and this page wiped out.
People seriously stay away from this place!! It is horrible!!! They ignore you even with serious issues. I watched the nurses and aides roll their eyes when patients complained of pain or other problems. I reported my IV not working and they just turned off the call light. 3 hours later a real person came in and had to go find the nurse who had to fix the problem with a boatload of attitude. These people seem like they hate their jobs and the patients. I will NEVER go here again. They wanted to operate on me and thank God I told them no. Go to Henry Ford, a much, much better place that acts like they really care about the people they deal with.
Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comMy grandmother always told me, this hospital is the place you go to die. She ended up there several times but despite a number of slip ups on their part and poor operating conditions she always pulled through.
That's more a testimate to her however and not to this facility.
Since then they have nearly crippled my mother in law and were completely unable to help my mother and father on their most recent trips to the ER. The waiting room is a zoo with people hanging around and literally dancing on top of their chairs. Vulgarity is thrown around constantly and the other people have no respect for one another. In the back it's not much better, maybe it's training for people with little experience but it seems more that's it's a place to dump those people who will never learn the craft of healing.
There are a few good doctors there, but for every good there are five bad.
Stay away.

Provided by YP.comin the unlucky event you find yourself at this hospital i have one suggestion.
DONT walk RUN, RUN , RUN, RUN.
GET AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL AS POSSIBLE.
go to a reputable hospital such as st joes in ypsi/ann arbor, or u-michigan hospital, or beaumont.
this hopital can KILL YOU..
few examples from personal experience and friends:
one gentleman, motorcycle accident, annapolis wanted to cut his leg off. individual got tranferred to u-m. they fixed him up and today he is a truck driver.
another gentleman went in for pneunoma, released after a few days. gentleman
sat on the couch for two days couldnt even get up to go to the bathroom. why did they release him when he was still sick? went back to annapolis hospital and passed away a few days later. unfortuneately relatives didnt sue. this case is based on knowing this person for over twenty years and firsthand experience. i can personnaly document this case
another individual spent a couple of weeks in and out of annapolis getting tests. annapolis sent person home.
subsequently individual fainted and a real smart relative decided to go to st joes in ann arbor.
result: hit the operating table same day to remove cancer.
now this individual travels, and lives a pretty good life, is active. in fact travels all over.
these are all actual events from friends and relatives. names have been omitted but are actual events. i've heard other stories but will omit them apparantly oakwoods purchase of annapolis didnt improve the hospital .
