Main liners desire better than this diner. The food is average. But the servers are great! It is too bad that the owners do care about them or their customers. They insist on playing obnoxious music, even though their customers and their employees can not stand the strange music they insist on playing. I thought music in a restaurant was for the customers not the owners, If you don't believe this ask them to change the music. You won't believe the response. Why dine at a place that does not give a hoot about your comfort nwhile dinning. Main Liners deserve better than this attitude.

The host and hostess were very disorganized in seating families for breakfast. You would think that a 2 person team could handle the volume. Instead the old guy host was arrogant saying "bye bye" as multiple groups of people walked away from the mismanaged chaos. Lucky for the ones that ran away, since the breakfast was overpriced and the French toast tasted moldy. They need to call "Diner Rescue" to save this once reputable restaurant on the Main Line

i never write reviews like this but the experience i had at this place warrants this.

Customers are not people. They are cattle that need to be herded. To begin with, the hostess is screaming at the top of her lungs to seat people. Granted there are a large number of people waiting but using a pager or a speaker in the waiting room would not subject people to such horrible treatment. The next part was even worse. There is this large guy with glasses who i think was one of the managers and he would yell at the busboys to hurry up in front of the customers! And i am talking screaming when these busboys were going as fast as they could to clean the tables. Later the same man came with a rag to clean a table with the customers already seated. As he approached he yelled "hands up!" to begin wiping. We were in shock.

The food is not bad and the waiter was nice, but this is absolutely unacceptable. I will never go to this place again because i want to go to a place that values my business. These behaviors show how this place thinks of their customers (not to mention some of their employees!).

Do yourself a favor and go into the center of Wayne for food. They will treat you with respect there.

Minellas! Maybe I should read reviews after I post my own... perhaps I'm reviewing the bad reviews here but come on! When the busser wipes down a table with a rag and then washes the next table... HE'S DOING HIS JOB! If 'TashaB' is reading this, I think they make pills for folks like you. When you step into a diner a few things are assumed. This isn't a hospital or a doctor's office. Sanitization is not going to be a word you'll throw around in regular conversation at a diner. That's just the way it is. Minellas is always clean and has a huge menu... most of which is great! Pricy but that's what you get when your on the MainLine. <br><br>

Other than that, nice little diner. Give it a shot!

Positivies: Delicious hot diner food, well-prepared and presented in gourmet fashion. Chef deserves great praise. Varieties of freshly steamed vegetables are a real plus. Generous portions of all menu items are reasonably priced. Have been very pleased with all meal choices. Is a favorite place to take guests.



Negatives: -- Usually, same bus person wipes down table and immediately resets it with no obvious sanitizing of hands after prior table cleanup and before new table setup -- Same unclean rag often used to wipe consecutive tables and seats without see to even add some form of sanitizer to rag between wipes -- Some servers habitually touch fingers to lip surfaces of drink glasses contaminating rims -- During busiest hours, salad bowls often pre-filled in kitchen and then piled high to speed serving to customers; this is done without regard to possible contamination of food, since each salad touches bottom of bowl above --when servers fail to serve using large trays, some servers pile dishes on top of food platters, again compromising the cleanliness of the freshly prepared food. Little wrapped butter containers are often touched by unclean fingers then thrown by server on top of freshly baked bread in baskets -- often observe female servers playing with their hair, before and after serving food with no evidence of hand sanitizing.



Added Comments: Sandwiches are often not assembled properly leading to soggy toast due to wet lettuce or tomatoes touching undersurfaces of warm toasted bread. Contents of these sandwiches are usually wholesome though.
