I was pleasantly surprised by the high level of customer service I experienced at the CVS pharmacy in Waynesboro. In the past, I received horrible service at other CVS locations. I only returned because their prices for my prescriptions is much less expensive than other pharmacies and they are open 7 days a week. To contact the Waynesboro pharmacy, I had to leave a voicemail, which was concerning. I assumed that the pharmacy must be understaffed and overrun with customers. But I received a call-back promptly, and the staff member was very pleasant and helpful. On occasions when I went inside to pick up my prescriptions, the lines moved quickly. I was really touched by how several pharmacy staff members interacted with patients who clearly had emotional and physical challenges. The staff were incredibly kind, respectful and sincere, going above and beyond to treat each person with respect and dignity. Based on my positive customer experience, I plan to transfer all my prescriptions to this CVS.

I have been going to CVS in Waynesboro for years and today I experienced the most maliciously rude customer service from the Head Pharmacist, Maggie Abangwu. I had two interactions with her on 12/23/15. It began early in the morning. I dropped off a prescription to be filled and after she agreed CVS would fill the script by lunchtime, I mentioned that my medication was short the last time it was filled. Maggie Abangwu was dismissive and denied that there were ever mistakes made at the pharmacy. She would not let me get a word in while trying to explain my situation to her and I ended the interaction with a 'thank you".

When I arrived at the pharmacy drive -thru at noon, a CVS employee politely informed me that my prescription was not ready because they were "swamped". I told her, in a regular voice, that it was not my problem that they were busy. I asked, "Why didn't you call to inform me of the delay? She looked at me dazed for a brief time and I asked how long it would take to get my script ready. She replied, 20 minutes".

A half-hour later I returned and politely gave my information to the same employee at the drive-thru window. Before the transaction was finished, Maggie Abangwu got nasty with me and accused me of yelling at her employee. Maggie Abangwu also tried to tell me that I stated "sometime in the afternoon", instead of what I actually said, "lunch time". I did not acknowledge or respond to her in any way and finished my transaction.

Are you kidding me CVS?
