Established in 1966, Tuscola High School provides a range of educational and enrichment programs for students in grades 9 through 12. Its curriculum includes instruction in English, foreign language, science, mathematics, social studies and cultural arts. The school also offers classes in choral music, drama, visual arts, and health and physical education. Tuscola High School serves the students of Waynesville and Haywood counties in North Carolina. It operates Tuscola High School Band, which consists of more than 170 students performing in various concert bands, including Marching Mountaineers, percussion ensemble and chamber groups. The band members represent the school in state and district level competitions. Tuscola High School Band also participates in regional, state and national honor bands, including the Bands of America National Honor Band.
