I got a 3 month old puppy from this shelter. I had to wait an extra day to pick her up after being spayed because "she was having trouble clotting. " When I got her home I noticed that she had a cough. I took her to my vet and discovered that she had a grade 4 heart mumur and early on set congestive heart failure. My vet advised me that she being a 3 month old puppy had little to no chance of survival. She was dieing. My vet has had his own practice for many years in good standing. He put this puppy down at no profit to himself. I went back to the shelter and the assistant director (who is not a vet ) blamed my vet claiming he was wrong. Instead of ending this poor puppy"s suffering, she was put through a needless surgery. I have not received a refund, nor has the shelter vet contacted me as I was told he would. I recommend any one wanting a healthy pet to stay away from this shelter. The health and well being of the helpless animals in their care is not a priority.
