8 years and counting! She is the absolute best She gave away like 150,000 in free dental care for the needy last year. The staff is perfect, but Dr. Hostetter is the best of all. She can handle any difficult child. First I took my granddaughter Katelyn to her after we went to the guy that was recommended. He was horrible! Katelyn was 6, and he just wanted us to pry her mouth open. We wouldn't do it, and he was mad, and still charged us $45! He was a fat, mean doctor! His name is Dr. Rosenburg! Don't ever go to him! So I prayed about it, and I called around for a dentist that would use laughing gas, as Katie needed teeth extracted. I have never been so blessed as when I met Dr. Camille Hostetter. She was funny, she told Katelyn she was a walrus when she numbed her up, and Katie didn't even know when her teeth were out. Before Katie started her braces at age 13, we went there for more extractions, with just as good of experience. At the time, we had no insurance so Katie didn't get cleanings, but the Dr. was very generous on what she charged us cash wise. Well now Katie has insurance, and goes there every 6 months. Usually with places, you have a list of the good and the bad, but in my experience, it has all been GOOD! My daughter Jennifer needed to take Emily age 7 for cavities to get filled, as her daughter had a bad experience at her regular dentist at Saia Smile center. She had a loose tooth, and they said let me see it and jerked it out. She already had behavioral problems there before that, so they suggested she go somewhere else for the fillings. Jennifer looked up Dr. Hostetter after I told her to bring Emily there. She hadn't before as they live in Liberal, and go to Pittsburg for dental care. Well Jennifer saw the bad reviews, but I told her LIES! She is the best. Well Emily went for her first visit on Wednesday, and it was GREAT! See the pic! Emily is a CHALLENGE! But Dr. Hostetter had told me that she loves a challenge.

She runs a very good quality practice. The reason for the long waits is that she and Access are the only places in Joplin that accept Medicaid for children. In addition, she will work with people who are self pay. That is why she is busy. She does not overcharge.

Made us wait 3 months (after 3 months wait the first time when we had to reschedule) to get daughter's root canal, confirmed the appt day before, cancelled the morning of to refer to someone else and said they should have called us weeks ago (uh, duh). Assumed we had welfare, tried to refer to UMKC. Most unprofessional thing I've ever seen done.
