Here is an accounting of my visit over the weekend.

I made a 9:30 am Sat morning. Showed up at 9:25, the sign on the door says they open at 9, but everything was locked and lights off. Knocked on the door-no answer. So we got back in the car and started to drive off, and then saw the lights come on and people come out. Hmmmmm I thought.

Well I registered and had a short wait for the exam to start. At the end of the exam I am told by the doc that its time to dialate my eyes, I explain i didnt want this because we have alot of wedding stuff to do that day. The doc insists and says that my insurance will not pay for the exam that was just done if I don't get it. I explain to her thats never happened before, but insists they will have to charge me for it.

I give in and have it done. They then take me out sit me down and start showing me glasses, ( like i can see). I ask which ones my insurance will pay for, the lady says my insurance will not pay for any of them, it only covers my exam.

Well okay Im not getting glasses here I thought.

After about an hour my eyes are dialated and the rest of the exam begins and finishes. I go to pay and get my reciept and there are 2 charges on the bill-one for the exam and 1 for the refrack.

After I said i would not be getting glasses here they kept referring me to a TSO that is owned by the Docs husband 50 miles away..geezzz

The next work day I inquired about this with our benefits person and she said this was way wrong and would be notifing the proper insurance people about these practices.

So overall I would not recommend this place, and I will never go back there.
