Weir Middle School offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs for more than 700 students in grades five through eight. Located in Weirton, W.Va., its academic curriculum includes classes in various subjects, such as reading, writing, math and science. The school provides various programs, including art, band, chorus and dance. Weir Middle School participates in a variety of sports activities, including wrestling, basketball, football, volleyball, and track and field. It has a parent-teacher association that encourages parental involvement in children s education. The school also has a library and media center that provides a variety of books and reference materials. Additionally, Weir Middle School organizes several fundraising events. It is a part of Hancock County Schools, which also operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
