Tenacre Day Camp, sponsored by Tenacre Country Day School, is an eight-week day camp for boys and girls, pre-school through sixth grade. The camp opens in late June 27 and closes in mid-August. The camp offers four two-week sessions. The camp philosophy is to provide a warm, loving, safe environment in which campers are encouraged to participate in a wide range of age-appropriate activities which are educationally sound, encourage group cohesiveness, and provide opportunities for individual creativity. The camp is sensitive to individual campers allergy issues and is a peanut/nut aware facility. The camp promotes respect for the environment, individual rights and the common values of honesty, cooperation, caring for others, friendship and self-esteem. The camp intentionally maintains a high ratio of counselors to campers. Tenacre Day Camp complies with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is licensed by the Wellesley Board of Health.
