We came to Wellsboro to visit the PA Grand Canyon and had seen good reviews for the food at this place. We entered the restaurant and a guy at the front door said "pick a table, someone will be with you." We selected a table, and waited over 15 minutes for "someone to be with us" and we were totally ignored. And it was not like we were hard to see, the place just opened up for lunch and we were the only ones there. The place kind of looked dirty and dusty also. We made the decision to bail and go to the Roost next door, and we were glad we did; the food at the Roost was excellent. The food here might have been good, but because no one ever came to even acknowledge our existence, we will never know. I gave the food 3 stars because other reviews did say the food was good, which means it is at least edible, and this review is not about the food, as we never got to try any of it. It is highly likely we won't be visiting the PA Grand Canyon again any time soon, one trip served our interest (nice to see, but not enough there to go again). If you want to eat somewhere, try the Roost.

When it comes to a small town like Wellsboro, there is simply no better place to bring guests, family or friends from out of town to...in terms of quality of food, service and value.
