Provided by YP.comAfter seeing these negative reviews, I have to tell of my very positive experiences. I have taken two dogs to the Wentzville location several times for boarding. Prior to the first time, I decided to check out the place during an impromptu visit. Crystal, I believe is the assistant manager, took me on a tour without hesitation. She showed me all around and the facilities were very nice and clean. Dogs in the kennel were barking, didn't seem to bother the staff. They appeared very organized. Each time I leave my dogs I feel confident that they are being well cared for. One of my dogs has an issue with recurrent cysts on the tops of her paws that break open at times. During one stay they called me and said it looked like her paw was inflamed and they even went to the vet's office and picked up a prescription for my dog and did not charge me for their time or the trip. Every time I bring my dogs in for boarding (which has been four times now), Crystal enthusiastically greets my dogs by name, get down on the ground and gives them hugs. I just cannot say enough good things about boarding at Westinn in Wentzville.

Provided by YP.comI have been going to Westin for almost 4 years. Prior to this last time my dog and I have always been treated very well. The last time however customer service sucked. I was made to wait a long time for my dog after I was told on the phone that she was groomed and ready to go. I also had a question about what I thought might be a free grooming session after I had 5 previously. The girl at the desk couldn't answer it since she was apparently new. She said she would put a note on our card and have someone call me. I never received a call. I sent an email to the owner two weeks ago regarding my concerns and have not gotten any sort of response. As far as I'm concerned Westin has lost me as a customer but it's evident that they don't care anyway.

Provided by YPmobileI took my dog there and told the lady behind the counter that my dog is not socialized and bc she is under five pounds she gets stressed and won't eat and could get hypoglycemia. When I told her that I brought her nutrical and she could just give her chicken that I also brought if she got stressed, the lady ROLLED HER EYES at me and called her manager over and said to her, "you wanna take care of this one?" She seemed condescending bc I guess she felt that I was "babying" my dog that is under five pounds. They did NOT allow me to see where my dog was being kept. I got the sense that something just was off about this place when they called me on my vacation and asked when I would be back which I had already told them. When I came back, my dog was being kept behind the counter in her very small crate. :( the lady informed me that she had been kept there the whole time.

Provided by YP.comI went to see the kennels at the WEntzville location DURING the hours that are listed on their website and was told that they only give tours during the week. I just could not understand why I was not able to see the kennel during an UNSCHEDULED visit. If I am going to board my dog I want to see what it looks like first. I found this excuse POOR.
Kennel tours are given at anytime after 10am except holiday weekends as stated in our brochures.

Provided by YP.comThis is truly the best kennel in the area. Very clean, modern kennels for boarding. The staff is exceptional, very attentive to your dog's needs. The prices are very reasonable compared to the other 'premiere' kennels in the area and they do not have additional charges for any extra services, such as medications, supplements or bringing your dog's own food. They also have a retail store located in the same building and carry a wide variety of products including many holistic brands of dog food. The training area is huge and has state of the art matting that is easy on you and your dog. Westinn offers not only your standard obedience classes but also puppy classes, agility, flyball and rally classes. Behavior evaluation and modification is available and administered by the owner, Sharon West. All of the instructors there are well trained and present a professional attitude and appearance. This is the very best kennel and training facility in the St. Louis area.
