I have been coming to Bob's since 2010. Their technicians are very knowledgeable. I have never had any problems, always fixed right the first time! Highly recommend!

I had an appointment for 10AM. I'm new to the West Bend area. I was told about your location, so I thought I would try it out. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a tall young man by the name of George. Very eager to help. He took my information, I needed an oil change. While sitting there, there were many other people coming in for emission testing. All were greeted kindly. And then the people were getting called because their cars were done. This location is clean, friendly and I'm very happy with the work that was done. Everything was topped off and checked to make sure my car was safe to drive.
Thank you Bob's Auto and towing for a place I would highly recommend anyone to bring their car.

They charge $450 for a flippin brake job. As soon as I checked with John from Half Price Auto, he charged me 200 bucks after tax. I had a friend that was charged 500 bucks for a cam sensor that takes about 15 minutes to install. I walked in on this last visit without an appointment, and they acted dumbfounded that I would think to stop into a business without an appointment. I asked for a price for brake pads and rotors, they wouldnt give me a price without looking at it. I already knew what it needed, and they acted like I was stupid when it came to cars and thats not what it needed. So I let them look at it, and wow what a surprise it needed pads and rotors just like I said. I declined the 450$ price. Another customer came in when I was there and the lady in the back was trying every possible way to not cover their vehicles repairs under warranty, it was only 2 weeks prior they had their brakes done. A caliper went bad and they did not want to stand behind their parts. I will be contacting the BBB because they charged me 49.95 for the 5 minutes it took to check out my brakes. They never advised me of this ridiculous diagnostic charge, I didnt want to pay, but they wouldnt give me my car back until I did. I will never go back, Half Price Auto from now on!!!

Used Bob's for several years. Always seemed fair and quick. Prices this past time had us surprised. Found place who charged almost half of what they were going to charge for same service. Since it was a major repair costing over $2500, we decided to take car to a place down the road that ended up costing us about half the price. We ended up spending $1200 instead, and they also used the dealer O.E part. The other thing that was very unsettling to me is that when I asked Kevin up front what their labor rate was, he would not tell me. I was told that their labor rates are different for different things. When I did the math the labor came to about $190 an hour, and the markup on my parts was almost $900 dollars. John from the shop I ended up going to explained this all to me. He layed out all his prices and had nothing to hide. I dont like indirect answers when I ask a question, especially when it comes to my car. I always thought the people were very friendly there, but as soon as I took my car to a different shop, I was treated very rudely and still charged 150 dollars for diagnostics even tho the problem took 15 minutes to figure out. They did offer me a 30 month 30,000 warranty, but the other shop I went to put in writing, lifetime parts and labor. Also I think id rather go to the dmv rather than wait 30 minutes for an oil change at this place. The 2 ladies in the back, im pretty sure one is the owner sit there and butcher their employees the entire time your there. They wont let you turn on the T.V. The guy kevin that worked with me was almost in tears by the time he checked me out, I cannot believe anyone would treat their workforce like this, I will never go back, Proceed with caution, this place is the biggest rip off/scam in the entire state as far as im concerned. Go to Half Price Auto!!!

Not impressed at all! Quoted $500 for labor to replace transmission I myself supplied. Waited for over a week to have the job completed. Was charged over $800 when job was finished. Upon completion of job I was also told that my heater core was leaking along with the power steering tensioner being broken. Both worked fine before this. After picking up the car and having to rescue my girlfriend that was stranded with a dead battery. Seems that they dont even know how to tighten the negative battery cable!

I recommend Bob's Auto & Towing to anyone stranded in the West Bend area. My alternator took a dump on the way to MKE from the Fox Valley. The tow driver not only diagnosed the issue on scene after jumping my battery twice (when the local dealer offered to charge $99 just to diagnose), he towed my car to Bob's lot and found a colleague to fix my alternator on a Saturday afternoon when no other service shop was open. What could have been a desperate situation of finding a way home, after having to abandon my car over 70 miles away for days, turned out to be a God-send solution from a couple of down-to-Earth guys for someone in need. A BIG thank you to Bob's for taking care of me!!

Double charges for repairs

I went to have a throttle position sensor changed. I knew that was the issue, but I couldn't make it to my regular mechanic to fix it. Bob's Main Street Auto charged $352. When I told them they were way over priced they thought I was crazy. I later went to my regular mechanic further away and he charges everybody for the same job $167. I asked around and discovered Bob's Main Street Auto likes to brag to others and there suppliers about charging so much to their customers. My mechanic agreed that they are crooks. I asked to be removed from their computer twice so as not to receive any more unwanted mailing offers.

I recently had an unexpected brake down with my VW, I called the roadside assistance through my insurance and they coordinated the towing through Bob's. The service truck arrive earlier than the ETA I was provided, the driver was professional and got my car off the road as quickly as possible. If I need towing in the same area again or know of someone in this area who needs a tow, Bob's would definatly be a reccomendation of mine.

Not impressed

I have used Bobs before, in the past, and never had any problems. When the tow truck driver denies you service, that's not going to leave a good taste in your mouth... Whealon Towing came to our rescue and had amazing customer service from the start!! I will NOT be recommending Bobs to any one.

I'LL GO BACK

Replacement of wiper motor went well, honest and timely -

Kind and respectful service - happy to help... (Not overbearing - like it's an honor to be there)

I'm driving a '92 Toyota and have confidence that I'll be back

Finding a repair shop is very frustrating, all too many times it's a swing and a miss, and at what cost? - MONEY

I wouldn't hesitate to tell a friend.
