I thought I was moving my family into a nice apartment from across the country; I was mistaken. I noticed when unpacking a few things that needed fixed and that the stairs and entry way were filthy and told management. I was assured everything would be fixed and that next week all the entries and stairs were already scheduled to be power washed and detailed. Great! Wrong! A guy came by with a vacuum on the stair landing and the repairs...The problems got worse: our apartment was full of cigarette smoke and we don't smoke. The problem was so bad that in areas of the apartment the walls were yellowing. I ended up in the hospital from an allergic reaction to the smoke. I spoke to the management about a different unit or maybe some additional filters, something. No- this was my problem. Then the fridge breaks and here comes the the vacuum man. The fridge was fixed four times by the same person and was still broke when I moved out three months later. When you add this to the constantly over flowing dumpster, loud neighbors, fighting for a parking spot, gld employees entering your home constantly and misbehaving children running around like a pack of wild dogs...this was a stressful nightmare. A stressful nightmare that cost $586 a month, I could rent a nice home for less. I bought a home and my payments are less and peace reins again.
