I had to give at least a 1 star rating to file this, however, if asked for an accurate rating, I would say ---5 (negative).



This company delivered oil to my home after I had canceled my contract with them. In order to receive the best contract price with a new oil company I prepaid for delivery of 1100 gallons of heating oil. Due to this contract, and it's possible termination if I should receive oil from another company, I told Diamond/Delchester that they could come take their oil away. I was told that that would cost more than the cost of the oil, and they would not do that.



I explained that it was not my problem and that since I had cancelled my contract, I was not responsible for that oil. To this day I hold that they can come and take the oil away; however, it will be at todays prices, not that of 11/2009.



I have received a number of calls from collection agencies, the last of which was Sunrise Credit Service. ( the representative was very rude and threatening) I have sent information and copies of correspondence (of which they all deny receiving), regarding this matter. I continue to hold that their delivery, after my contract was cancelled, is their problem, not mine. I continue to ask them to take their oil away; they will not!



Stay away from this company and any company that collects for them!!!!!

This company is in the business of taking advantage of it's customers. I repeatedly have to call and negotiate my price down because they ALWAYS charge well over what the rest of the comanies in the area charge. Last year, they tried to lock me into a monthly payment plant at $4.89 per gallon! That was well over $1.50 more per gallon than the rest of the companies were charging at the time. The reason I found this opportunity to write a review for these people is because I'm in the Yellow Pages looking for other oil comanies. I'm cancelling my service today because I found out that I was charged about 30 cents more per gallon than other companies are charging when they delivered my oil last week. When you are getting 175 gallons at a time, 30 cents makes a big difference.



With the economy the way it is and people losing their jobs and homes everywhere, this place is still actively taking advantage of the fact that we need oil to heat our homes and they don't deserve our business! I'm going to use a company that makes an effort to keep their prices as low as possible to help people. There are plenty of them out there!

Where to begin with these liars and cheats. negotiated a contract with them. They offered a 1 year contract at $2.29/gal for a year, or a lifetime price of $2.49. I took the lifetime price because oil is definitely going to rise in price. When they delivered the fuel they charged me $2.89. When I went to correct it, they told me that my $2.49 price was about to run out. When I said it was a lifetime price, the claimed I was lying and that they don't do lifetime prices. Essentially they lied to me about the lifetime price to keep me from jumping to another company. Didn't work. Canceled my contract today.
