Robert P. Liss, MD
915 Old Fern Hill Road, Building B, Suite 200, West Chester, PA 19380
Robert P. Liss, M.D., completed one of the few fellowships in the
country that combined advanced instruction in cataract, glaucoma, and
corneal disease. He was first to bring minimally invasive cataract
surgery to our area in 1992, and with “refractive” cataract surgery, has
reduced the need for glasses in most patients after cataract surgery.
Dr. Liss frequently lectures across the country on the advanced
techniques of minimally invasive cataract surgery and other advances
in cataract and glaucoma surgical methods.
In September 2005, Dr. Liss was given FDA permission to
participate in a research protocol and was the first ophthalmologist in
the Philadelphia area to successfully implant a synthetic iris. And, in
January 2007, Dr. Liss was granted FDA permission to use an
implantable device to help secure unstable intraocular lens implants.
By pursuing new surgical treatments such as these and frequently
participating in clinical trials, Dr. Liss helps keep CCEC on the cutting
edge of eye care.
Dr. Liss is a member of the prestigious American Glaucoma Society
(AGS) with only 500 members worldwide.
