Welcome to Paws in Time, the western suburbs' premier doggie day care and boarding center. After many years of training dogs professionally, Julie Nelson noticed that a basic need was not being filled in many dogs' lives. While all owners want the best for their dogs, today's busy lifestyle doesn't always allow for dogs to just be dogs-running, playing, sniffing, and exploring. In late 2002, Julie decided to fill this need by opening Paws In Time. Daycare We realize that dogs need time to just be dogs! We offer a wide variety of outlets for your dog to safely run, play, and explore in our 20,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor facility. We offer many fun-filled amenities, including: * Unlimited access to fully supervised indoor and outdoor play areas * Fun-loving staff to actively play with all our furry friends * Cage-free play * Numerous toys available at all Times * Non-slip indoor flooring to protect paws and joints * Fully fenced outdoor play area * Daily swimming pools (weather permitting) Before a dog begins attending daycare, one of our qualified staff members meets and evaluates each dog's temperament. Then the dog is gently introduced to members of the play group, one dog at a time, to ensure that everyone will get along. In addition, veterinary records (vaccinations for rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and bordetella) must be provided for all dogs. The bordatella vaccine must be valid within six months of the boarding date. All pets must be on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative as well. This ensures good health for every lucky dog at Paws In Time! Paws In Time is proud to offer daycare six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You return from your day to a happy, well exercised pet who is ready to relax with you. Boarding When you have to be away from home, you want the peace of mind of knowing that your dog will be happy and safe while he is boarded. We offer a safe, friendly, and secure boarding facilities that will create a home-away-from-home feel. From our luxury suites to our spacious kennels, we have just the right spot to curl up for the night for your four-legged friend. Please bring your dog's food from home as this is healthier for his digestive system and will help your dog feel at home. There is no additional charge for administering medications to your dog if he needs it. Simply provide us with the medication and instructions for dosage, and we will be sure your pet receives the medication as instructed. If you would like to include any type of grooming service while your dog stays with us, please be sure to book your appointment at the time you make your reservation. We may not be able to accommodate last minute appointments due to prior bookings. Training We offer you three different types of training: private in-home sessions, group classes, and a customized board-and-train program. The type of training you choose depends on your lifestyle and what you want to accomplish with your dog. All training is conducted by our founder, Julie Nelson. Please call or stop by and see our facilities we will be glad to give you a tour of the place.

Horrible.....Don't go there! Office staff has no clue. Owner is rude and just money hungry. Took my 4 month old to what I was told was a puppy class. First day of class they took her from me as soon as I walked in, and didnt tell me what they were doing with her. I stood there for the next 15 minutes stressing about her while the owner read out loud line by line her handouts. We could have done that on our own. Then they walk us in back and I see my baby in this huge cage sitting in the corner shaking like crazy trying to protect herself from the 6 - 8 other dogs in there that seriously were 20 times her size. She is 4 lbs these so called puppys were 80 - 100 lbs. There was a worker standing around but was not paying attention to what was going on. I will never take any of my dogs there. The office was dirty and stunk to high heaven.

I love them

When my oldest dog was a puppy, taking him here was the ONLY thing that kept us sane some days. he's a corgi- so HIGH energy. Now that we have 2, they still go and they both love it there. I've used them for grooming and for boarding as well- and they LOVED boarding there- i've left them with relatives before and they've been moody and listless the whole time, but when I leave them at Paws In Time, they do not want to leave!!!

Ellie -

I have a nine year old chocolate lab and a one year old black lab. I was fortunate to be able to be home to train my chocolate lab. After many years of going back and forth we finally decided to get our second lab. I also found myself having to work in my husband's office everyday. So, I thought I'd go to Paws In Time, since it happened to be on my way to and from work.

Everyone was so friendly and you can tell they are all dog lovers. We were bringing the Ellie to work with us for a while but decided she needed to go to daycare, which I swore I would never do!!!!

Elllie goes two to three times a week and I could not be happier and neither could she. She is also kenneled when we go on vacation and I can call and get an update. Within two weeks, everyone knew my name and hers. I personally can't wait to go in and see everyone, but most important is the care and love they give to Ellie each time she comes. What a wonderful and secure place you have Julie. Thanks so much to you and your staff.

Doggie Heaven

I have brought my dog to Paws in Time for over four years. It is an amazing facility that my dog absolutely loves, and Julie and her staff are fantastic. They are all dog lovers, and I leave my dog with them without hesitation.

We also get our dog groomed at Paws in Time. Their groomers do a fantastic job, and their rates are very reasonable.

Loved it

Paws in Time is an excellent service. We were worried about leaving our 1 year old puggle while we were on our honeymoon, but from all accounts, he had a great time and was well taken care of. I would highly recommend Paws in Time and plan to use them in the near future.

No way

Way to many dogs and not enought employee's. I and a few friends have checked this place out and noticed that no enough employee's are watching over atleast 80 dogs. Owner did not seem disstraut about it either. If you want your dog to not be supervised and are willing to pay EXPENSIVE price's for such horrible service than i suggest them. If you care that your dog is being cared for with responsible people than i suggest somewhere else.
