This was almost a joke. I am a nurse of 15 years. I saw Dr. Kalpesh Purohit on 11/9/15. He spent maybe 3 minutes examining me and never even assesed my pain, which was my primary complaint. He sent me on my way with a prescription for antibiotics with no evidence to suggeat that I had an infection. He was very cold, noncaring, and almost script like. He never even let me finish answering one question before he was asking the next. When I asked, after recieving my discharge papers, whether or not my pain was going to be addressed, I was treated as if I was a bother to them. Never again. I would not recommend this practice to anyone I know. I would take my chances at the ER first. I will be following up with my PCP tomorrow. This is a poor and sad excuse for medical care.

I am not impressed. I saw Dr. Kalpesh Purohit 2/12/2015 for what I thought was the start of strep or the flu. He didn't look me in the eyes once until I stopped him from walking out of the room. He cruised through his "exam" in less than five minutes and didn't even wait for me to finish answering questions before he moved on the the next. In fact, I didn't even finish listing the allergies I had before he said, "Open your mouth and stick out your tongue." If you want to be treated like a number instead of a person, this is the place for you. I've never felt so disregarded and disrespected. Never again.

Still here....

3 and a half hours later. 3 and a half hours. My husband and I came in and we're one of 3 people waiting in the waiting room. They took him right back and got his vitals right away and we literally have been sitting in a room with no doctor. This is insane. The only thing I can say is that the staff is polite and nice but other than that, we've been here forever. It's like this every time we come.

not great, not horrible

My family consists of many medical professionals, so I may be a little critical. However, the girl checking us in was extremely rude and acted like I was a waste of time with the questions I asked. After a 45 minute wait to see the doctor, he finally arrives. He was very friendly, although he ordered an xray for sinus infection. The dude who took the xray was very nice. Overall, I was in and out in a reasonable about of time. However I have noticed they will charge you for every test they can think of to fatten up your bill. If you don't have insurance, I'd go to a doctor's care.

I can tell you from experience, the staff really does not know what they were doing! This place hires people off of the street with NO medical background or training/schooling. They claim that because they are "private practice" they do not have to have trained medical profesionals work there. They do not even have a nurse on staff! This qualifies as a disgrace to all medical professionals that have worked so hard for their degree!

For the most part service is fair, but not as advertised. My first couple visits were impressive and brought me back, but the last 2 visits are disappointing. Waited in waiting room for 45 minutes with no other patients in the the waiting area. Finally got taken back and it took additional 45 minutes to be discharged, spend almost 5 minutes talking to doctor. Last visit only took an hour,. What concerns me is the nurse gave me the paper work at the end of my visit highlighting Doctor that saw me and number to contact if I was not feeling better in a few days. I called the number and explained that I was not responding to treatment as described. The tech told me that they only do urgent type visits and to call my doctor or I could come back in and pay for another visit. Not sure if you are told to call back in a few days if there is what appears to be no action other then offer you to pay for another visit. I would have to seriously have to consider giving my endorsement to others.

My family and I use this place...

My family and I use this place for nearly everything. Ear aches, broken arm, sore throat, really bad allergy attack, broken finger, etc. They stock most major meds for cheap so you don't have to waste time going to pharmacy afterwards. Even when lobby is packed, fairly short wait time to get back, no appointment required, you can just drop in whenever. Friendly staff and VERY convenient location.

They charge more if you have i...

They charge more if you have insurance. Went in as a non-insured patient because I didn't have my insurance card handy. Paid full price for visit. Then returned so they could file insurance and I ended up owing more money instead of getting money back. Will NEVER go back. And people wonder why the insurance system is flawed!

@ckdubya- MEDcare Urgent Care takes all patient feedback seriously and we would like to address the issues that made your visit less than desirable. 1)- MEDcare Urgent Care does have an Affordable Care Plan for those patients without health insurance that offers low cost visit options based on the fact that payment will be made by the patient at the time of service. This helps reduce our costs as we will not have to file with, wait on payment or incur any additonal costs from collecting from the insurance company. Our Affordable Care Plan is not a form of insurance, rather a low cost option for people who do not have health insurance, to receive the care they desire. 2)- MEDcare Urgent Care has a set fee schedule with all insurance carriers and we only charge what is allowable by each insurance company. We appreciate you choosing MEDcare Urgent Care for your health care needs and hope that this response will help regain your trust in visting us in the future. Please feel free to contact directly at [email protected] with any other concerns you may have. Thank you.
