When I asked about it they were rude and told me it wouldn't do me any good to have it anyway I told them that it could be taken off the old zipper and replaced on the new one now I have to go buy two new charms to match they would not even discount for throwimg the charm away. The boots weren't even cleaned up. I will never use this place again Nd will tell all my friends how rude and irresponsible the place was. No biker I know would be hAppy with the way they treated me or my boots

Provided by YPmobileDropped off two pairs of men's shoes for a minor repair. After a week I returned in the afternoon of the day they were to be ready. They weren't even touched!! No apologies from staff. I took the shoes elsewhere and would never recommend this company to anyone. They are rude, unapologetic and unorganized. Very disappointed.

I have lived in West Des Moines my entire life, and have given my business to this Valley Junction shop for that reason. However, I have had extremely varied results, from OK to HORRIBLE. I have a large collection of "cowboy" boots and have had many of them resoled or repaired. Most recently, I brought in an extremely expensive pair, and asked for 1/2 inch heels to be put on to replace a lost one. The least of my worries was that the heels put on were too large and uncomfortable to walk in. My soles and upper heels were tan wood and leather and the rest was matte black leather. The boots seem to have been spray painted a gloss black all around, completely ruining and turning them into a pair of boots I would only take into the mud. EXTREMELY unhappy.

Provided by YP.comI have taken several pairs of high end "cowboy" boots to the store, and have had varied results with the first few pairs. Recently, however, I brought in a very high valued pair of boots asking simply for new 1/2 inch rubber heels. They replaced the heels with a size that was enough larger to make them uncomfortable to walk in. What is extremely frustrating is that the soles and most of the heels, which were tan, seem to have been spray painted black. The matte leather was also turned extremely glossy. They made a $350 pair of boots with nearly little wear into a pair of boots that I would wear as if they were work boots. EXTREMELY unhappy.

Provided by YP.comWow! I would have to disagree with the above reviews..... This company is family owned and have been in business for over 30 years. If you go in and take things to them that are not repairable they will tell you. Just because you think it can be fixed doesnt mean it can!!!! I have had dozens of shoes repaired and luggages and purses worked on with no problems. If you have a problem like any company they will make it right. I wouldn't take my work anywhere else.
This seems to be a very large volume shop and the place is packed with shoes and luggages to be repaired.

Provided by YP.comI went to pick up my first item I've ever left here today, and had planned on leaving a bag full of shoes and clutches. They misplaced one of my shoes, so I put my stuff back in my bag, and said that I didn't feel comfortable leaving more items until they located my shoe. The old man helping me started yelling at me to get out. About 10 min later I received a phone call from the son, apologizing for his father and telling me that they found my shoe. When I came back an hour later, the old man started yelling at me right away and told me to not come back. His son was laughing at his father and didn't apologize once. Don't worry old man, I won't come back and neither will my friends or family. I went to Rettig Shoe Repair in Valley West Mall and they were MUCH friendlier. First and last time I have DSM Shoe and Luggage Repair fix something of mine.
