Linda has been fascinated with pottery since a visit to Seagrove in the 70's. She had never seen pottery made, and came home committed to learning to do it. Working and raising a family competed for her attention, so it was not until the twins left for college that she was able to take classes. Starting with a wheel set up in one corner of the garage, the studio evolved to take over the entire garage.

In 2003, the decision was made to move to Moore County and purchase a spacious wooded tract where we could build a studio and home. With our priorities in place, we build the studio first and lived in a rental while we build our dream home. Our place is populated with game, wildflowers, ferns, and birds. Very quickly these elements began to appear in the work. All of this just 15 minutes from Pinehurst, one of NC's top tourist attractions.

Linda and Jim Dalton are a husband and wife team of ceramic artists who create one of a kind high end functional and decorative pottery, both wheel thrown and hand built, at our studio just 15 minutes north of Pinehurst, NC. Our studio has become a popular destination venue for out of town visitors as well as regulars, patrons and collectors. Custom work and commissions are an area in which we excel. A patron once asked if we do custom work, our reply was "that's why we call you customers!" We do custom horsehair with the hair of a specific horse, custom wall pieces in the size to fit a specific wall space, and custom trophies and awards for golf tournaments, croquet tournaments, tennis championships, as well as national car shows.
