Be aware of potential billing nightmare!



Here is my experience: I had tooth extraction in 2011 and after surgery had typical payment procedure:

Provided my insurance and paid my copay. Eight month passed and I start receiving phone calls and letters stating that I still owe money for the procedure. So I called the office, provided my insurance information again and the billing person reassured me that I’m “all set” and I should ignore any more billing letters I might receive.

Now usually if you call in regards to the billing question and given “all resolved” answer you don’t note the person’s name.

To my surprise another eight month later I start receiving billing letters again but I ignore them as advised. Another eight month passed and now I received a letter from collection agency.

Now who keeps dentist bills for two years? And I did not have any other proof, so I call them and pay instead of fighting.

If you go to this business - before you leave ask for a letter stating that you HAVE PAID IN FULL!



Or take my advice – avoid this business don’t trade toothache for a headache!
