John is hands down one of the most genuine people I have ever met. His incredible teaching intelligence, as well as social strengths truly encompass an amazing person to work with. As a career/resume/job coach, he has such a knack for teaching you the skills you need to implement in order to succeed. As a mentor, he does a great job seeing the best in someone and lifting their spirits in an encouraging, yet honest way. I was looking for a job for about three months and didn't hear back from a single company. I started working with John and found a job within two weeks - for a company that REALLY wanted me and offered me more money than I anticipated! Not only is John extremely smart, but he truly wants to see you succeed. His tactics for success and his huge heart set him apart from the rest. John is one of a kind and I am so thankful I got to work with him!

Is Celia S. now self-employed and seeking new clients? Four to six months of waiting for a resume is intolerable. To add to the frustration, you can't rate this business with less than one star!

I worked with John for about 5 years. John has been an amazing mentor and resource for everything job related. He took me on when I first started writing resumes and grew my skills and expertise in everything job-strategy related - from proactive resume writing to evaluating consumer insights to find the right fit for their projected career path. He is an amazing writer and an even better career coach. He understands people through cultural, behavioral, and digital observations in order to create their personal branding. I do not recommend this person. Over a month and I'm still waiting on a resume....

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! FIRST OF ALL, his website claims that he is a bestselling co-author. This led me to think that he had written a book relevant to his craft. Nope, it was a medical book, co-written with a doctor. Since Mr. Brubaker does not appear to have any medical expertise, I am guessing that he probably didn't play a big role in the book. Even so, it is really nor relevant to his skills as a resume/cover leter writer.



He told me to expect a resume draft within ten days of paying him. WEEKS WENT BY, and I heard nothing, nor did I receive anything. I had to contact his office. He had a laundry list of excuses. Long story short, he missed the deadline had set for himself by about a month. I had to contact him nonstop. It was a terrible experience. The resume was decent, but I had to edit it as there were MANY spelling errors. I got the impression that he spent less than twenty minutes on it. Some of the errors were so careless.



Not worth the headache, and he tries too hard to force rapport with people by sharing stories of questionable veracity.
