I've been going to Dr Solinsky for about five or six years. I wear glasses (progressive lenses) and

have early cataracts. I also had episcleritis which was painful and frightening; he treated it quickly

and appropriately, and reassured me completely. I'd recommend him to anyone. As for waiting time,

honestly, I don't mind waiting for good care. But I can schedule things so I don't have to rush back

to work afterwards.



What I want to know about these reviews is: why are they all printed (and counted) twice? Why do

pretty much all of them, even the most positive ones, have just one star (not recommended)? This

makes it look like the writer would not recommend the doctor or the practice even when the review

was great. And the stars are what go on the first page of the yellow page listings! Finally, I wish the

reviewers would say who they saw in the practice, or at least whether they saw the ophthalmologist

or one of the optometrists. It seems unfair to judge an entire practice based on a bad experience

with one of the clinicians when we (the readers) don't know who the clinician was, or what his/her

qualifications were.



Just a note: I am not associated with the practice in any way. I really am just a patient, but I was

confused when I saw just 1 1/2 stars listed for Dr. Solinsky's practice, and then when I read the reviews

thought the reviewers' opinions were often misrepresented. It's too bad, because Dr. Solinsky sure

deserves more than a 1 1/2!

Dr. Solinsky in one of the most personal doctors I've met. He has a genuine desire to heal his patients, and makes you feel as though youre not just another account #. Furthermore, he is extremely knowledgeable and good at what he does. Though the wait can be a little long from time to time; its understandable when you look at the patient load that he has. Thus, as with any doctor in demand, appointments that are made in the early morning are the best. I 100% trust this doctor with my eyes and would recommend him to anyone.

my entire family comes to solinsky eyecare. They take very good care of us. The doctors are very good and the staff is nice and professional. They do EVERYTHING. glasses, contacts, surgery, routine exams and emergencies (we had a few and they accomodated us nicely) I highly recommend them.

I was extremely pleased with my eye exam at Solinsky EyeCare. I have been seeing a lot of eye doctors over the years and finally found the perfect office and great doctors. Their optometrists are great with the glasses and contacts, seeing us for emergency problems and being on time. Dr. Solinsky has done cataract, lid surgery and laser surgery on myself and many of my family members. The staff is very pleasant and really know what they are doing. We all love going to this office. The folks in the eyeglass center are very accomodating and they have a great selection too It is in a great section of west hartford and there is lots of free parking too. Give them a try, you will be very happy.

I went to Solinsky for the first time because of its close proximity to my home. The receptionist that booked my appointment could not have been nicer. I had a 7:30 am appointment, and the doctor was waiting and ready for me when I got there. I saw Dr. Olewnik, who was very friendly and more thorough than any eye doctor I have ever seen (and I have had 20 years of eye exams with various doctors). I will definitely be going back to her.

I recently had my first visit to Solinsky EyeCare in West Hartford, and I was very impressed with the office and the staff. Each member of the staff that I had contact with was friendly and knowledgable.

The office was bright and welcoming. The Staff of Doctors was pictured on the walls with their individual credentials and qualifications. It was interesting to read the various bios and their backgrounds. My only other comment is that a better selection of magazines in the waiting rooms would be nice for patients to read while they wait.

It was a busy day in the office, but I never felt rushed. The Doctor took the time to review my records and to proceed with my care.

An added plus is the Optical Shop in the building. It made it convenient to get my eyeglasses before leaving.

I would recommend Solinsky EyeCare, and plan on returning for future eye care needs.
