Founded in 1932, Saint Joseph College is an educational institution that offers a variety of academic and extracurricular programs for students. Its campus is spread over an area of more than 80 acres and houses a graduate school, women s college, The Gengras Center and coeducational prime time program unit, as well as provides biology, business administration, chemistry, English, gerontology, and fine and performing arts courses. The institute maintains the Carol Autorino Center for the Arts and Humanities, which houses an over 300-seat auditorium, information technology network center, athletic unit, classrooms and faculty offices, as well as several art galleries to showcase the college's fine arts collections. Its library has nearly 133,700 book volumes and online resources. Saint Joseph College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, as well as is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). Its students participate in several soccer, cross-country and lacrosse tournaments.
