The past review is not true in any of my experiences with Dr Katz! My husband and I absolutely love her. We think she is the best OBGYN in the area . I have a 1 1/2 year old son that Katz delivered. I went to her from beginning of my pregnancy to his birth and follow ups. We are having trouble getting pregnant again , so I’m going back for fertility advice soon. We were treated with the up most respect. They always made sure my son and my health were number one at all times. She fought for me to be treated no less than the best when I was in the hospital. She goes above and beyond any doctor I’ve ever had. She is a straight shooter. . If you are calling her office every 5 mins for minor issues she might get a little bit upset for taking the time away from her patients with serious concerns.

Dr. Katz has very unpleasant bedside manners and an unprofessional attitude. She's suffering from frequent mood-swings and treats her patients with little respect.
She's out of the office many times and doesn't return calls on a prompt manner - if she returns them at all. When she's not in the office, it's impossible to get your questions answered by the nurse practitioners or any other doctor who should be filling in for her, because the staff gets behind schedule and they don't transfer your calls.
Even when she's in the office, it's very hard to schedule an appointment with her. They usually send you to see the nurse practitioners, even if you're pregnant. They often misdiagnose or fail to diagnose obvious illnesses, don't review your medical records in detail, and if you're having complex issues, they brush it off and treat you like the problem is in your head.
It takes weeks, sometimes months for her staff to process your requests, especially if you need to get forms filled out. And they normally don't do anything (make a copy, fill out forms, etc.) without collecting an above average fee in advance for every single request.
If you do call them on their mistakes or mistreatment, they tend to lie and retaliate (charge you higher fees, stress you out, and/or withhold information on your requests).
There are many ob/gyn's in the area that are very courteous, knowledgeable, professional and experienced. It took only one visit to one of these other doctors to figure out what my problems were, as opposed to months of unnecessary medical charges and stress that Dr. Katz and her staff put me through.
