BEWARE!! Destroyed a beautiful 17 year old tree.

Let me say first that Pacific Islander Tree Service is NOT insured. DO NOT hire them. I asked for branches with fire blight to be cut from my flowering pear tree. They said they would do that trimming & round tree. They didn't have me sign anything or provide a written bid. I should've been warned when they tried to sell me on concrete work instead and a MLM business. I asked if they were familiar with the type of tree I had and they said yes & they worked in Hawaii State trimming trees. When I came home the next day I saw that only one tree had been done (THANK HEAVEN) and they had cut half the tree off or "topped" 14 feet off straight across. The blighted branches were still there. I was in shock! I wish I had before and after pictures. I had 2 matching 30 ft trees in park strip & now I have one 30 ft tree & a 15 ft tree. We are devastated. Damage is $7500. I asked if they had insurance,they said no and have no assets and won't pay any $$. Nothing can replace a 17 yr old tree.
