Provided by YP.comWe took in our cat Monday. She had started acting lethargic and not eating Friday evening. When we took her in Monday and they did some blood work and told us that she was diabetic. Tried selling us food and gave her some fluids. We told them we would be back the next day to pick up everything. We couldn't get the insulin that night, and we asked the vet if she could give her insulin then. Was told no. There was nothing discussed regarding follow up care or checking her blood. Charged $125. I went back in Tuesday to get syringes and the insulin, another $125. Waffles passed away Wednesday night. I felt that all that they cared about was selling high price crap food, an overpriced fancy syringe disposal, and syringes. Again nothing on follow up care, changing her diet, and checking blood sugars. If there had been more concern about our cat and less about their profit margin I feel we would still have our Waffles.

Provided by YP.comI took my amazon parrot in for an infected eye.. My appointment was 1/2 before closing and even close to closing time, Dr Nebeker did not rush through the exam. He showed and explained everything to me, even discussed diet. My parrot is improving after 1 day with the advise and 2 meds that Dr Nebeker gave me; He had told me it may take weeks, even months to clear the infection and a specialist [ophthalmology] may be in order down the road. I feel he is very thorough and especially appreciate that he took time to explain what was going on. I would highly recommend him as an avian veterinarian.

Provided by YP.comI took My dog to Amor. I told them he would not open his mouth, and his eye was infected. Not sure why. They examined my dog, and told me it was no big deal. He had probably got something in his eye. Which caused it to get infected. They gave me some eye drops and antibiotics. It seemed to help. After the second day, it got worse. I called them up, I described what was going on, and now his face was swelling. They said "Its no big deal sometimes it takes days for the meds to kick in." The next day it had gotten to the point my dog would not move on his own. I took him to a different vet, who examined him. They Found a chunk of wood jammed in the roof of his mouth! That was causing the infection. I could not believe that Amor did not do a thorough exam, and seemed to not be concerned. When I called them with concern. I will never go back there again!

Provided by YP.comWe have gone to a few different vets for our dog who seems to have never ending troubles. We have continued to go here because their prices are pretty resonable compared to other places and we haven't had any problems with them.
I can't say I'm too crazy about the actual vet that we see. He is a little bit rude and condesending. He always gives us a huge guilt trip on our dog being over weight, and he really is not that overweight I mean you wouldn't look at him and say he's a fat dog he looks normal sized. But he knows what he's doing since he's always solved our problems. We have had a reoccuring skin problem with our dog and they have been really good about just letting us pick up the medicine instead of charging us for an exam.
I really like the groomers, the front desk people, and the vet techs they are all very friendly and knowledgable. We have to have our dog sedated to get him groomed because he is so mean but the whole grooming actually ends up costing us about the same as going to other places and the gals there do a great job. Even though he snaps at them they are still very gentle with him-we've gone to other places with where that hasn't been the case.

Provided by YP.comI have used Amor Animal Hospital many times and have received nothing but the best care for my animals. I am sorry to hear about the above story, however I have never experienced any of the claimed treatment at Amor. The doctor has always been more than willing to help me understand what is going on with my pet and help to make me feel at ease with any surgeries or treatments we need.

Provided by YP.comBecause our pets were left in their day care for a week, we thought they were a good clinic. Suprize, 6 months later our lab was throwing up blood so she went to Amor within the hour. Into surgery in the next 8 hours. The doctor said it was a major surgery but that if she survived the surgery she would be allright.
My husband was there with her, through the surgery, after the surgery.. she was doing well, walking - wagging- and kissing. My husband and I stayed until closing, thinking she would be taken care of. Everyone in the clinic left and there was no one on duty all night. Next am when we callled, our dog was dead. They had not left anyone there to care for the animals, they didn't have a night time staff. She had layed all night on a cement floor, with no one to care.
That doctor didn't give her a chance. If that had been your child would you have felt good about those conditions. We paid the 2K for the opperation. They wanted the money yesterday, how much they cared !!!
I would not recommend the clinic to anyone, as I don't see love and caring for the animals being part of their lives. I'm sorry for them....I am even more sorry for those who have also lost their animals by that clinic.
Thank you.
