Established in 1940, Elliott Hall of Music is one of the largest proscenium theatres in the United States and is located on the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, Ind. The facility is named after Edward C. Elliott (1874-1960), who served as President of Purdue University from 1922-1945. A number of University s Broadway musicals, operas, ballets, rock, country and pop groups, as well as comedians, lecturers and symphonies take place on the Elliott Hall stage. Further, the Elliott Hall of Music also holds commencement exercises, honors programs and other conference events. In support, Hall of Music Productions was developed to manage Purdue s performing arts venues and to serve as an in-house production company. Its production services include audio, event management, lighting, staging and live event videos.
