Columbia Academy is a 5 stars ...

Columbia Academy is a 5 stars school, this year its my daughter's first year and she is doing amazing. I love the small class sizes and the TEACHERS are AMAZING!!!! they trully love the kids and they are not there just because of a paycheck. Prior to make my decision my husband and I went to 6 plus other schools and nothing can top it of Columbia Academy. The school curriculum its awsome and they trully stand by their philosophy work hard and play hard. During the begining of the year my daughter was just starting to read but did not had any interest in picking up a book to read, now she is reading very well and she askes for books all the time. Our daughter loves going to school and she gets so excited on Sundays because she knows she gets to see her friends and teachers the next day. We as a parent couldn't be any happier with this school and we are looking forward to keep our daughter here at Columbia Academy until 6th grade :)

Highly recommended!

My daughter has been attending Columbia Academy since she was 4 and we absolutely love it. Our favorite part about the enivronment of the school is that the kids all get along so well and their relationships with each other and the teachers is more like a family. Academically, my daughter is ahead of the game because of the care and attention of the teachers and she really loves learning. She looks forward to going to school every day and is always excited about their projects, field trips, performances and even after school care!

Love Columbia!

Columbia has been a life-saver for my kids. The small class sizes are amazing and the one-on-one attention each child gets to help them succeed is exceptional. The teachers are awesome and the atmosphere is full of love and understanding. My kids love to go to school and their self-confidence level is through the roof. We love Columbia!!

My son has been in proper Mont...

My son has been in proper Montessori school all day since he was 1.5 and has loved every minute of it. Recently we moved and none of the really good ones were close by so I started researching other great options....and they were limited. Columbia popped up and I liked almost everything I read about it. The only concern I had was that it mentioned L. Ron Hubbard in their websites, so my initial reaction was to think they might somehow be affiliated with Scientology. Thankfully, I found out otherwise! Every other thing I read on their website and reviews online were nothing short of stellar, so I visited and met with Clare. What a wonderful woman (Justine- her daughter, is my son's teacher now and he adores her!) and school. All the kids seemed happy and to really respect the staff, the playground was nice and they even had a great indoor set-up for bad weather. I was sold. So far, our experience has been really good, my son is excelling despite the change in the way he learns and gets his lessons, and I can't recommend the school highly enough to others- and I have already. If you're looking for a school for your young child through elementary, look no further.

The Best School

I have three children that attend Columbia Academy and we have been part of the Columbia family for 7 years now. To say I love the school is an understatement. The amount of comfort and joy that Columbia Academy gives not only to my children but to my family is truly beyond words. The staff at Columbia care for my children as if they were their own. The structure, ethics and curriculum are amazing. If you are looking for a school for your child you should look no further. I feel blessed to have found them and I am sure anyone would feel the same.

Happy Child, Happy Parents

We are new Columbia Academy parents and we are very happy with the school and believe we made the best choice for our child. We chose to send our 4 year old to Columbia Academy for a number of reasons. The first and foremost was that they allow the children to move along at their own pace, focusing on levels of comprehension rather than sticking to a fixed timetable for academic progress. This together with the small class sizes and commitment to learning is giving my child a great start. We have already seen great strides in his reading and his confidence.

Also, it is not by chance that we have had such a smooth transition to the school. Right from the start my son was made to feel welcome and comfortable in his new classroom and he loves the hands on learning that he gets to experience. Getting up and going to school is no longer hardwork and has become a favorite part of the day.

Outstanding School

Our family has been very pleased with our daughter's education. Upon moving here from Florida our daughter was enrolled at a Private Catholic School which prepared her well for this school. What impressed us from the start Columbia was willing to test and place our daughter within the grade she placed regardless or her age. Within her first six month's of attending Columbia Academy our daughter passed Kindergraten at the age of 5. Now she is in First Grade loving all the daily challenges. Besides all of the academic achievements she has really enjoyed all the extra events. At least once a month her class has fieldtrips. The fieldtrips are normally related to the study of the month. We also like the fact that the classroom size is small, which gives the students more one on one time with there teachers.

We would strongly recommend that your family come visit Columbia Academy.

Best school

Columbia Academy has been able to offer many things to my family that no other school has.

My son is in the 3rd grade. He has read well over 700 books since he started this program and is 6 years old. My daughter also attends the school. She just turned 5 and reads to me everyday.

Most schools just look at a child’s age and place them accordingly into a grade level for that age group, instead of letting kids go at their own pace. I love that my kids are only held to the standards of themselves and not grouped by age, but by skill level in each subject.

It’s not just the academics though; one of the best things I find about this school is the ethics. The kids are so well-behaved and all have such a sense of pride about helping one another. Whenever something happens to my son like falling in the mud, I never hear of another child making fun of him, but instead how they help him to the restroom with a fresh set of clothes to change into. The amount of comfort and joy that Columbia Academy gives not only to my son and daughter but to my family as well is truly beyond words.

Columbia Academy is an excellent school. Children are challenged and have fun in the process of learning. I have never dealt with teachers who sincerely love and care about their students the way the teachers at Columbia Academy do. This is my son's 4th year at Columbia and putting him there was the best decision I ever made. My daughter attended for two years and the work she did wihout a doubt prepared her for the middle school she currently attends. Columbia's approach to teaching inspires children to love school and love learning.

A GREAT school for ALL students!

Columbia Academy provides a wonderfully stimulating, nurturing, learning environment where kids really thrive. The school offers a very low student to teacher ratio. The teachers are extraordinarily dedicated to creating an energetic and enthusiastic class room that helps all of the students excel and reach their highest potential. The students foster a love of learning inside and outside of the class room. When my child wanted to attend Winter Workshop at Columbia Academy (an extension of school offered over the holiday vacation), rather than enjoy the holiday vacation at home with her family, we knew we had found an exceptional school for her.

BEST IN CLASS!

My daughter was 4 years old when we found Columbia Academy...she had been having a VERY difficult time - - period. We had been to ALL the most respected Pre-schools around and none were working for her. Columbia Academy was the 1st place where the teacher sat down & listened to her issues, difficulties, etc. and told us point blank...we can help! My daughter is now 9 years old..has learned to LOVE learning and appreciate that the education is HERS to use. She has excelled at all aspects of her education and actually been able to skip a grade level. We were so impressed, we pulled another (older) child out of a VERY good public school system (West Linn) in order to give her the opportunity to gain the love of learning and intangible benefit of life long learning skills. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone investing in their childs future through Columbia Academy. It's turned into such a blessing for our family - we have gained a calm in our lives - where once there was anxiety and frustration, now there is a calm understanding of what needs to be done and how exactly to do it! I only wish I would have found them sooner for my TEENAGER!!!!!!
