Daughters of Israel, a nonprofit organization, has been operational for more than 100 years. One of the oldest Jewish nursing and convalescent homes in the United States, it serves more than 5,000 elderly and disabled persons. The center is affiliated with the American Association of Homes and Seniors for the Aging, Leave A Legacy, United Jewish Communities of Metrowest New Jersey, Metrowest Caregivers Resource Center, and the Alzheimer s Association. It offers a wide variety of services, such as independent retirement living, residential adult day care, short- and long-term rehabilitation, respite and palliative care, and home health aides. Daughters of Israel also offers skilled nursing facilities, occupational, language, physical, speech, hydration and respiratory therapies, audiology solutions, treatment for Alzheimer s disease and dementia, and hospice services. The center is located in West Orange, N.Y.
