Hi Joe Carriker,



You did a superb job of installing hurricane windows in our new home (3807 DaVinci) this summer, so you’re the first person we though of for another project in our home — expanding the master shower. It’s too short for my husband, who needs a shower stool, which puts his feet up against the wall, both an painful and unsafe situation.




The expansion would entail moving the end wall (expanding 30 inches into open garage space), then re-tiling the larger shower and installing grab bars and a frameless glass shower door. It would not require any plumbing changes except for running pipe for a hand-held shower head. The faucets, main shower head, and drain would not be relocated. The bathroom itself will also be extended 30 inches, into the master closet. And the bathroom door would be replaced by a pocket door. (We would also like to replace the existing toilet with a comfort height one, and perhaps add a grab bar there.)




I’ve attached a very rough sketch. Tom and I would like you to look at the plans and the shower/garage and give us a rough idea of what it would cost.

Dear Joe,

I want to thank you for your kind willingness to repair the rear door to the Yorktown building in a timely manner. As you can see I am copying this message along with your invoice to our accounting agency for payment. They will cut a check and at our next management meeting on December 9th, I will sign the check so you should receive it the following week.

If it wouldn’t be too much difficulty, it would be appreciated if you could please provide us with an estimate for replacing the door in case another security issue for the building arises from another malfunction. It would be preferred to maintain the two separate doors scenario, instead of changing it to a single door, which is what we discussed and believed it would pass muster for a new permit.

We look forward to using you’re the services of your company when the need arises in the future.

Are you available for another assignment for our apartment?



We need a new through-the-wall air conditioner for the living room.

East Coast Mechanical says that the coils are rusted and are beyond repair and replacement.



It is 11,00 to 12,000 BTUs with a heating element and function.

Over the years the units have become smaller than the original opening.



So a replacement unit may not fit evenly into the current sleeve.



So we need a new air conditioner unit and we may need a modification of the space for the sleeve.

We were unable to find an appropriate unit while we were in Florida.

There are many choices, but the stores are not carrying any models now in the Winter.

Can you work on this for us?



We are returning to West Palm on Sunday, February 5.

There are a few good companies out there but this company is the best by far. Not only in the quality of their work but in their devotion to their customers.. Their work is excellent and they clean up behind themselves. Joe (the owner) is always there to make sure you are satisfied and goes out of his way to achieve that..Phone calls are always returned and taken care of. Do yourself a favor and call then let these guys do the rest. You wont be sorry ... I will never use anyone else again...They have done my shutters , doors and my kitchen... If they cant do it they know who can ...
