I hired someone to do body work on a 71 GTO that I have owned for over 20 years and he made a deal with Alex (owner) to sandblast the doors, fenders, and an extremely rare NOT reproduced Endura GTO Steel hood only to remove paint, no rust.The hood was smooth on top BEFORE taking it to Alex's business. (No dents before to sand blasting) When I arrived at his place to see my car. The shop was closed. It was left outside (not inside like I was told it would be held) with the keys just left on the seat. The rare very expensive hood (1750.00+750$ship=2500.00 used. In 20 years I never saw a NOS (new old stock) hood avail. Locating 1 NOS and its 3500+750ship=4250.I found the hood on the floor next to the car in a corner behind the shop like trash.Hood is warped and dented full of waves. Too much pressure was used.You can see the hood framing underneath from on top of the hood now.I asked for his business insurance information and I was never given it.Alex said his employee damaged it and he personally could fix the dents by blasting the other side and pushing the metal back up.3 wks later many calls, visits speaking to him it was never done. He just kept saying I'll do it tomorrow.I informed him I was 45 mins away and had a experienced body man driving 1 hour to meet there to see the hood.He said he is there (5:30 pm) and he was going to get something to eat. We arrived and he ignored my calls. We waited 2.5 hours (8pm) and after 3 texts and 13 calls to him and 2 VMails.Completely ignored me. The next morning at 8:45 am he calls me thinking I was someone else. I asked him do you realize who you called?He said "Oh I meant to call someone else. I know I F'ed up last night. I'll call you back."9 days later. No callback.I picked up my hood the next day. Still damaged. Can't find him on sunbiz either. Alex Barany put a lien on our property for non payment for a job he never did. He had the lien released, stating it was issued in error. To compensate he promised a complete pool renovation for the estimated price quoted by another pool renovation company. It took him over a year and the job is still not complete. The paver installer, Rodriquez, was great, but I had to pay him and take it off the balance I owed Woodlawn (Alex). I still have one tile at the overflow not installed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Guy wasted my time. Never showed up for appointment and from the outside looks like a s@#! Hole business. NOT PROFESSIONAL!

We hired Wood Lawn Sandblasting to sandblast old pool paint. The were scheduled to arrive 12/5/13. I confirmed the day before with Matt; however, they did not show on December 5th and never bother to call to let me know. On 12/6/13 we came home from vacation at 4p.m. to find them sandblasting our pool in the rain. Alex (the owner) was sandblasting with a helper. 45 min later they were finished but there was a heavy layer of blue film covering my entire pool deck and driveway (in some areas 1" thick). Alex borrowed my pressure cleaner and cleaned less than half of the pool deck. Alex told me that if it hadn't been raining I never would have known they were there. They had started work when it was sunny, but when they returned from lunch it starting raining (but they continued to work knowing the mess it would make). It had become dark outside and was difficult for them to see the cleanup. Alex asked for his payment. I gave him a check for $800 (full payment) after he promised that either he or his son would return early the next morning (Sunday) to finish cleaning. He said the pool fence and the patio still needed to be pressure cleaned and he would do that. They never showed the next day. On Sunday I left 3 messages asking for a return call. On Monday Matt from his office returned my call. I told him what happened and that I was upset that I was forced to clean their mess, which took me most of Sunday pressure cleaning and shoveling 1" thick areas of blue, sandy mush. Matt said he would tell Alex and Alex would work something out with me. I never heard from Alex.

I called around for a lot of quotes on sandblasting and Alex was the best to deal with, and the best priced. He responded quickly with a fair quote.



A previous owner painted the driveway making it slippery, (I can't afford another fall) and Alex took care of the problem making our trip to the door much safer, while at the same time making the property look and feel more appropriate.



I wish I had more contractors like this, it would make life easier, I would definitely recommend Wood lawn sandblasting.

The service here is garbage very nice people but I had my truck sandblasted and after I looked under my truck when it was finished there was still a ton of rust! The guy did a very crappy job for $500 bucks I dont know jack about sandblasting but I could have rented one and done a better job myself. I will never bring something here again to be sandblasted. Find somebody else and check it over really good after its done.
