Wimmer's Meats is the parent company for four sausage brands. Each brand is known for its unique taste. In 1995, the company purchased the Minnesota-based Bassett brand and brought production to Nebraska. This led the company to purchasing another Minnesota company, Ambassador. In 2004, Wimmer s Meats acquired Fairbury Brand Meats of Fairbury, Neb. A family-owned sausage and hot dog maker, Wimmer's Meats has produced the Wimmer's brand of products since 1934.
