Armstrong Pharmaceuticals was founded as a manufacturer of specialty aerosol products, but after being acquired in 1993 by Medeva Pharmaceuticals, the company has exclusively focused its service on the pharmaceutical industry. In 2001, the company got into the Albuterol MDI market when Andrx Pharmaceuticals acquired it, which two years later acquired Armstrong. Since that acquisition, Armstrong Pharmaceuticals mission is centered on new product development and establishing its own partnerships within the metered-dose inhalers, oral and topical sprays, foams, aqueous sprays and pumps. The company also offers contract manufacturing services for metered-dose inhalers and nasal spray products. Armstrong Pharmaceuticals, which is based in West Roxbury, Mass., is registered and regularly inspected by the United States Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
