In 1946, during a time of acute rubber shortages, the Johnson Brothers Rubber Company pioneered the art of producing sponge rubber from new synthetic polymers. Since its inception, the company has grown into one of the most efficient manufacturers of molded sponge and dense rubber products in the United States. Johnson offers the latest technology and consistently updates its engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The company is well equipped to develop and test rubber compounds. It provides standard SBR, neoprene, EPDM, nitrile, polyisoprene, natural and epichlorohydrin compounds and will custom formulate products to customer and ASTM specifications. Johnson also offers extruded closed cell sponge from different compounds and is able to vulcanize all extrusions into endless gaskets. The Johnson Brothers Rubber Company maintains its corporate offices in West Salem, Ohio.
