La Crosse County Highway Department, located in West Salem, Wis., provides a wide range of services for the city. It offers road maintenance services that include snow plowing, salting, grading shoulders, mowing, repairing, sealing, sweeping and paving roads. The department also issues driveway, parade and utility permits, and adopt-a-highway permits for organizations that want to provide roadside cleanup on the county highways. La Crosse County Highway Department has more than 3,000-square-feet of office space, and training and vehicle storage areas. The department also has more than 22,000-square-foot shop that includes six repair bays, two wash bays and one sign shop.
