I have 15 years experience in private cello instruction and am currently a member of the Salt Lake Symphony. I also teach elementary orchestra in the Granite School District. I have undergraduate degrees in both music therapy and music education, as well as a master's degree in education. Aside from my private studio work and my current position with the Granite School District, my past teaching experience includes teaching general music, aural skills, piano, guitar, and cello at the high school and college levels in the Boise School District and at Ricks College/BYU-Idaho. Learning to play a musical instrument is not only very rewarding, but it also helps in a student's educational development in other areas including, but not limited to; math, science, and the arts. Also, learning should be enjoyed and not simply a chore. So, I strive to make your experience with the cello as fun and rewarding as possible. I am centrally located just off of I-215 and 4700 South in Taylorsville. Give me a call and let's enjoy the cello together!
