I ordered flowers from a major internet flower company, to be delivered in RI and Flowers by Kiku was commissioned by the company to create and deliver the floral arrangement. The flowers were a "Get Well" present for my aunt, who had just had a major surgery for cancer. I paid extra to have the flowers delivered by 7 PM the next day, which was a Saturday. Around 3:30 PM on Saturday, I received a confirmation email stating that Kiku's had delivered the flowers to my aunt's house. In fact, I found out that my aunt had never received the flowers. I immediately contacted the company I placed the order with and they spent the next 2 hours trying to get in touch with Flowers by Kiku. Finally, around 5:30 PM I heard back that they had located the flowers and that they were "sitting on a truck". I asked if they would be delivered by 7 PM and the company was not able to give me a definitive answer. At that point I stated that if Kiku's could not fulfill the order by 7 PM, I wanted the order cancelled. When I checked in later to see if my aunt had received the flowers, I was overjoyed to find out that she had received them around 6 PM, and that she loved them. Despite a stressful day trying to track down the flowers, all finally seemed well. Boy, was I wrong! Apparently there was some dispute between Flowers by Kiku and the internet flower company over payment of the order, and instead of reaching out to me (whose name, phone number, and credit card was attached to the order), Flowers by Kiku drove over to my aunt's house on Thursday (5 days after they were delivered!), knocked on her door and DEMANDED THE FLOWERS BACK!!!! I was absolutely mortified! What kind of company would deliver "Get Well" flowers and then go BACK to the home of the recovering recipient to demand them back?! Any business that would conduct itself in this manner ought to be shut down entirely. I look forward to telling anyone who will listen how absolutely disgusted I am with this company. If you truly love someone, DO NOT buy them flowers from this company, or you'll run the risk of having the flowers pried right out of their hands. Unbelievable.
