Have always consigned with this business and it has been very profitable for me. I rarely wear my items more than one season so they are just about new when I bring them in. Has been a real positive experience

Great clothes but not worth the way you are treated in there especially if you go in with kids. Was scolded across the entire store as my son was showing me the tags and telling me the colors of them. Will not return or recommend.

First of all, Brenda, the owne...

Don't consign clothes here!!

First of all, Brenda, the owner, is incredibly arrogant and snooty, and she doesn't seem to know all that much about fashion .... just look at the too-tight, age-inappropriate, jet-black clothes (to match her jet-black hair) she wears along with buckets of make-up and that gawd-awful red lipstick.

While this is a great store for buyers, not so much for consigners. The price points start too low for their value (especially for high-end clothing) and are reduced every week, resulting in a low profit for the consigner (after the 60/40 owner/consigner break).

And Brenda's accounting is from the 20th (maybe even 19th?!) century .... she refuses to computerize or use real business accounting methods (even the basic ones!), so everything is painstakingly hand-written (with no back-up files maintained).

As a consigner, there is little to no accounting for items dropped off to be sold .... you get no receipt or accounting for items left, making it easy for things to "disappear" from the books. The second time I consigned items, I had made a list and checked off what she took. My items included a gently used burberry purse and brand new (w/ tags!) ray-ban sunglasses that somehow "got lost". When I went to pick up my check along with any unsold items, the purse and sunglasses (along w/ a couple other good items) weren't on my accounting sheet as having been sold nor were they returned to me unsold. Brenda couldn't explain what happened to them ..... so that was my last time taking items there!!

When you pick up unsold items, you have to go through pages and pages and pages of hand-written forms to sign off on not only unsold items you are picking up, but also what she says sold. In order to get your payment check, you have to go to the store or leave SASEs, which she doesn't end up using anyway (she lost the ones I gave her!). Why not just mail out any checks due at the end of the month and take out $1 or so from each to cover the cost of stamps and envelopes?! I suggested that to her, but she didn't want to listed. She's just not a good business manager if that's how she handles transactions.

I don't recommend this store at all for someone who wants to consign items!! However, it's not all that bad for a buyer.
