Located in Westbrook, Conn., Vista Vocational & Life Skills Center provides community-based educational programs for young adults with neurological disabilities. It is a private, nonprofit training center, serving more than 165 adults. The center offers vocational training, life skills instruction, counseling and support services designed to enable students to succeed in work and to live independently. It offers a wide range of programs for students with various disabilities, such as learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and traumatic brain injuries. It works individually with each student to design an appropriate program in a community setting. Vista Vocational & Life Skills Center was founded in 1989, and has training centers and residential facilities in Guilford, Madison and Clinton, Conn.
