If you are considering even picking up the phone to call this guy for any reason - DON'T BOTHER!!!!!!!! Mitchell is the most unprofessional rip-off in this lifetime. The story: my new sister-in-law ordered her bridesmaids dresses from this Fast-talking BS artist MONTHS AGO. He was supposed to have everyone begin their fittings in mid-August after his ONE AND ONLY SEAMSTRESS came back from vacation on August 10th. (Not for nothing, but how do you consider yourself such a great establishment when you only have one seamstress to do all that work in a "timely" fashion???) For whatever reason, he did not explain, she did not return from vacation until SEPTEMBER 1st!!! The wedding was on September 12th!!!! Everyone (3 of the 5 bridesmaids which chose him for alterations) had ONE fitting and picked up their dresses 3 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING! Then, when I called Mitchell to confirm the time I would be coming to pick the dress up from his shop, I asked if I should bring my bra and underwear for one last fitting - he made me feel like an idiot and belittled my decision by saying "Well, we took your measurements and altered it to your body the way it was at the fitting. What do you need to try it on for? I mean, you could if you want but it's not necessary." So I did not try on the dress at the shop, and ended up trying on the dress at home the next night after hearing that the maid of honor's gown was a WRECK when she tried hers on! My dress was taken in so much in the back (by about 5 inches!!!!) that i couldn't even come close to zippering the damn thing shut!!! I had to beg my neighborhood seamstress to alter it and fix it overnight which cost me an additional UNNECESSARY fee - something i shouldn't of had to worry about if Mitchell and his brainless seamstress had done the right job the first time! And when my neighborhood seamstress had to rip open the seam that Mitchell's seamstress had made (thank God the woman was stupid enough to leave ALL THAT EXTRA material inside the dress and didn't cut it the way it should have been) we came to discover the dress was ruined!!!! The appendage was done in the wrong direction, in the wrong spot on the dress, and in the wrong amount, therefore leaving visible holes in the front of the dress by the sides of the bosom where the idiot sewed the wrong seam! It was atrocious!!! I have pictures and receipts to prove it!!! And he ordered it two sizes too large!!! I'm an 18 to a 20 and he ordered the dress in a 26!!! WHAT WAS HE THINKING????? We are taking Mitchell to court because what he did was an absolute disgrace! If anyone wants pictures, let me know. I'll be glad to send them to you. And what makes it worse is that he did the most work to my dress and charged me $64 and the maid of honor was charged $100 for petty alterations. He is also inconsistent and unfair with his prices. THAT'S WHY HE DOESNT TAKE CREDIT CARDS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN - probably so he can RIP YOU OFF before you have a chance to put a stop to payments once you've realized he's screwed you over!!! ON top of the nerve, line of B.S., unprofessionalism, inconsistency in prices, and gimmick this guy has got going, he is rude and refuses to refund my money for AT LEAST the alterations, when he truth, he owes me over $400 for a ruined dress, his poor alterations, the alterations i paid to have his mistake fixed, gas, tolls, and emotional trauma!!! DO NOT GO TO MITCHELL!!!!!!!!!!! -
