As long as you know what you are talking about, these people are great. If you have a vague idea and need someone to guide you, these are not the people to help; at least not until you have done business with them a couple of times and have built a rapport with them. Absolutely great selection.

Great stock of components and parts. I have been visiting this store for years and they have items not available elsewhere in the Detroit area. Prices are a little high but if you need it today it's cheaper than online with minimum orders and shipping. Always helpful and knowledgeable about stock and item locations. Did I mention they are open on Saturday when the other industrial suppliers are closed? The place has a lot of stuff, if you are into electronics it's worth a visit to check it out.

I bought over $50 worth of ada...

I bought over $50 worth of adapters and converters for my two week trip to London. The staff seemed very knowledgable and helpful. However, once I got to London, a $20 converter didn't even work. I was lucky in the sense that it wasn't even necessary so my cell phone charger functioned without it. So, not only did they advise me to buy something that wasn't necessary, it didn't even work!



When I got home, I went to return it, which is against their policy. I understand where they are coming from because people could use and return all the time if they didn't, but the converter was dysfunctional and they would do nothing to help me. It is absolutely unacceptable that they don't quality check their merchandise from manufacturers. I will never return here.

Great Selection

Yes....maybe a little pricey, but I build from scratch, and can get about everything I need from this place. They are anindependant electronic retailer. Very rare these days. As for the attitude, don't be a idiot, and they'll treat you OK.

These folks really know what they're talking about when it comes to the products they sell. Particularly the husband of the husband/wife team. They are also one of the very few actual store fronts left with such a large selection of electronic supplies. To get a more complete supply, you would have to go to a web store. So if I were only rating on knowledge and selection, I would give them either a 4 or 5.



However they are difficult to get along with. Especially the wife. If you ask a question that she feels is very basic, you get her very belittling, snarly attitude like you should already know that you idiot. She's really rude but the husband is a little more reasonable...but only in comparison to the wife. Still very insulting people. Reminds me for all the world like the Seinfeld episode with the Soup Nazi. "You ask stupid question. No soup for you!"

A BUSINESS THAT BELONGS IN THE DISTANT PAST

I am a person that believes in supporting private business; however this needs to be a departure from that!

Recently my father (who is a senior) returned a cord that was not effective tof his project. While he had opened the container, and reclosed it when he realized it was not what he needed, The store insisted that he produce a receipt. (unfortunately, having purchased the cord only an hour prior, my father had misplaced the receipt.



**He was first told that as the package had been opened, he would lose 15% value on the refund.

*****Then was told he would receive no refund at all without a receipt..

*****I called on my fathers behalf, certain that I could appeal to the sales associate's customer service values. I discovered that she has none. Additionally, she informed me that SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER REVIEWS.

***** Take your business to someone who cares; There's really too much of this going on these days.

Horrible Service

I called the store looking for a simple plug, and the woman who answered immediately had an attitude. She said we don't sell that, and then that doesn't exist, but I had just looked at the same thing at Radioshack (they just did not have the right size in stock, so it definately does exist). I asked her if I could talk to a manager or at least someone else and she said she owned the store. I then asked why she had the attitude, and she said if I did not want to deal with it I should not have called. Then she hung up. If I could, I would give this store no stars. I definately would not suggest going in there unless you feel like putting up with someone who seems to be very angry at nothing.
