Based in Westland, Mich., Stottlemyer Early Childhood and Family Development Center offers a wide variety of programs and is operated by Wayne-Westland Community Schools. Its early intervention program provides multidisciplinary, individualized services for developmentally delayed infants and toddlers up to 3 years of age. It offers a preprimary impaired program designed for developmentally delayed children of 3 to 5 years of age. The center offers a free program for low-income families, known as Head Start, which serves children of 4 years of age.
