CNY Veterinary Medical Services specializes in small animal care. We work with our clients to come up with a specialized treatment plan when your pet is ill, as well as provide annual care for vaccinations and check-ups. We offer digital radiology, dentistry, grooming, boarding, physical therapy, an in house laboratory, as well as many other state of the art services. History Established in 2011. Dr. Heather's House Calls was established in May of 2011 and as it's popularity continued to grow it was obvious that, although providing house calls was still needed in our area, it was also essential to be able to provide a larger scale of services. A small office was opened under the supervisor of Dr. Heather's husband, Dr. Evan Sandler a the former Rome Area Veterinary Emergency Clinic. In July of 2015, CNY Veterinary Medical Services was able to expand in size and services by moving to it's current location at 15 Seymour Lane in Westmoreland, New York as well as adding two veterinarians to our practice, Dr. Trent Huynh and Dr. Michelle Beck.

They have been outstanding since we started going to them. They have a level of compassion for the patients that they treat. Especially with our Golden Retriever who, sadly had to leave us today (04/03/19). They have always treated our dogs with great kindness and treated them exceptionally. Would recommend them to anyone.

I cannot believe all the double talk at this place now. I left them a review. Our dog had an unneccesary mass removal surgery, the argued about vaccinations, wouldn't let me speak to Dr Heather again after the initial visit, then on Friday our cat was neutered. My husband complained about the costs and they told him our animals are no longer welcome there. They banned us and now refuse to do their post surgery checkups. My dog is now limping and swollen in the leg he had his IV in and were out nearly $1000 this week and have to find a new vet.

My husband and I brought our kitten to CNY Vets and they saved his life. He was having seizures, one right after the other. The vet assistant was waiting at the door to scoop our baby up and take care of him. He was 3 weeks old at the time and now he is a healthy 2 year old, adult cat. We love him so much and will be forever grateful to the staff at CNY Vets!

I would like to personally provide feedback about one of your Vets in a facility in Westmoreland New York.  I recently had an adverse experience at that facility, hence I took to Facebook to write a review of my personal opinion. Much to my dismay, the vet himself commented back on my review, not only did he reply back in a very condescending, passive aggressive tone, he thought it necessary to provide me with the definition of "estimate". That type of service is absolutely abysmal. I was shocked to get a response like that. He made excuses for the misleading information I was given from his office, and then took to talking about how he tries to be a good person with his family and values his time. My point of contention is that I was given misleading information, among several other things that I personally experienced that were not up to standards. As a customer, my time is valuable as well.  And I truly think that the facility should take ownership and be willing to stand behind their word, as well as treat customers with respect and dignity. I urge you to check out their Facebook page and see the type of response that I received. It is shocking and disappointing to see a response like that from somebody who claims to be a professional. My experience was one of many at that office. There seems to be some serious issues there, to which I feel need to be appropriately addressed. I'm glad to hear that one aspect of my feedback was taken into consideration, regarding the experience I had when my dog was sedated. I wasn't given appropriate discharge instructions, nor told what to expect or any type of pertinent information. I had to call back and obtain that information because the office was simply too busy to provide that time to go over important things with me. However, I do not appreciate being talked down to and patronized in the manner that he did on public forum. The fact that he felt it necessary to provide a definition was absolutely uncalled for. Futhermore, the Vet argued like a child, trying to play victim. ...reprehensible mannerisms.
