Wharton High School is a college-preparatory school that provides educational classes to more than 650 students in grades nine through 12. It provides education in various subjects, including English, math, science, business, social studies, computer technology, physical education and language arts. The school has a library that offers a wide collection of Internet resources, books, magazines and newspapers to stimulate the intellectual development of students and staff. It provides various clubs and organizations to students, such as band, drill team, speech and drama, student council, choir and Spanish club. The school offers a variety of athletic activities, including baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, and track and field.
