My daughter sees Dr Dinkel...and she is amazing. I feel my little girl is getting exceptional care...and my little girl LOVES going to the eye doctor. (...we go every 3-6 months...and my baby is 6...)
Dr Dinkel is worth every minute of our 45 minute drive.

Out of the four optical locations we have used for my son, this has been the worst. Worse than the mall stores! The technicians can't get a good fit on the glasses, tried four times and still couldn't adjust them properly, and expect me to come back every 10 days for a new nose piece (they won't allow us to purchase extras). That is all topped off by the fact that they have 9 to 5 M-F hours, and if you have a child that is over the age of three, how convenient are those hours for you? We are constantly treated like we are inconveniencing them to get the glasses fixed properly. And for over $150 out-of-pocket (beyond insurance coverage), I simply expected better quality, service and treatment.

I totally agree with you about the crummy experience. As a mother of an autistic child, I was told this doctor was the "best" on the west side of the metro. Yeah, right. He was cold, and very very rude. He kept losing his patience with my daughter because she was scared and the light he was shining in her eyes hurt. I will absolutely never go back to him again. I have since taken my business to Lakewood Eye Clinic and what a difference!! They are great over there. So long to uncompassionate, cold, uncaring, rude doctor in Wheat Ridge!

If your child has eye problems this is definitily the place to go. Dr King is very good. Not only has he seen one of my grandkids he is going to be seeing two more.

I am so mad, I just received the bill for my son's vision check up, it is outrageous! No wonder no one would give me a price or even a price range as to how much a check up would cost before or at the appointment. Had I known, I would have never gone to them. The visit was ok. I was debating about finding a new doctor afterwards, but after I got the bill, I definitely will.
