I work with individuals, couples and families. My knowledge is inspired by both Western Psychology and Eastern Contemplative Psychology; both have their function; each is limited without the other. Psychotherapy is for everyone. Personal growth is a lifelong journey. A compassionate therapist is an asset to those with mental health challenges as well as to those who want to explore their life journey more deeply. With therapy, I help to identify and release limitations from the mind and body. This helps create more meaning and connection to life. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Hakomi, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) methods to treat trauma, anger, boundary issues, shame, and developmental wounds. I encourage Maitri; an attitude of friendliness and gentleness toward our self and self-experiences. By practicing mindfulness, I help clients with stress and life-balancing. I am honored to be a provider for the non-profit Give an Hour (www.giveanhour.org). I donate service to veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq and family members. I do not bill insurance but work with you directly. Some carriers will reimburse my services on an out-of-network basis.
