I went in on Monday 4/20 during the fake pandemic to get a new seat for my bike. The employee who was working the front door informed me that the sales dept was closed but he would let me in and the service department would bring me a seat and install it on my bike. I waited in line outside for my turn. When my turn came up the employee working the front door informed me to take the bike to the service department and someone will take care of me. Here is where the trouble starts. Andy the tech told me that the sales department was closed and I would have to order the seat on line and schedule the install at a later date. I could not convince him that another employee told me something different. He was extremely rude and made no attempt to rectify my situation. I proceeded to walk over to the sales department to pick out a seat myself. Two other employees stopped me and informed me that the sales department was close to customers. This is when the employee at the front door stepped in and told Andy that he approved the sale and installation of the seat. From there Andy went into the sales department and picked out a seat and installed it on my bike after payment. His attitude was totally rude with unacceptable customer service.
If he is going to have contact with the public he needs some customer service training. If that does not happen he will end up pissing off more customers. At the same time the employee working the front door was great. He knew how to take care of customers needs and was very professional in his actions. He was not wearing a nametag so I did not get his name.

Went there last year with a bike issue. The two mechanics, working in tandem, worked very proficiently to convince me I had a couple hundred dollars or work needed. Went to a shop down the street and they diagnosed a simple problem requiring a $20 fix. Draw your own conclusions. those mechanics were not doing this on their own in defiance of mgmt policy. Buyer Beware!

An Objective Review of Wheat Rige Cycle

Wheat Ridge Cycle is a business that carries top quality goods and has salespeaople who know bikes and bike accessories inside and out. It must be said that they pretty much charge full retail price except during the occasional sale. On the other hand, they are very good about returns if you are unhappy with the product, even if you have used the product several times. For example, I finally discovered that the SIDI shoes I bought were way too wide and required double socking. I had used them a year and a half, but they provided new shoes and were willing to do it at no cost. That didn't seem fair to both parties, so I paid their cost for the shoes. A good place; just on the high side on price.
