I went in for color touch up & trim. First, the stylist asked me if I was having a boy or a girl and I had to explain that I am not pregnant. She apologized and I was determined to forget about it and try enjoy getting my hair done. The color part had to be done twice which was fine but the roots didn't come out as pretty as before because she put both colors (I was doing a two-tone look with copper under dark violet brown) on the top so the top more reddish the rest of the top layer of my hair. The shampooing was rough a my scalp is still sore. But the real trouble came with the cut. I had come for a trim. I really liked the cut I had had & wanted to maintain it. It had been an angled cut longer in front and shorter in back. I asked for a trim of about half an inch. She took less off in the back and layered the front so I have awkward hair that looks like bangs that are in the process of growing out on one side. The front is at least four inches shorter than I would ever want. Afterwards, she complained that I was making her feel bad and argued that you can't have layers and an angled cut and that the back had looked bad before and was just completely inappropriate about it. She butchered my hair and it will take several months before I can get anything approaching what I wanted. I will be living in headbands. She gave 20 percent off and I was given a 25 percent discount card when I left but I will never be returning. Discounts won't get me my hair back or make up insulting my hairstyle tastes. My stylist was Katie.

I've gone here for years for all my hair and waxing needs. This is the best salon I've ever been to! My color and cuts always turn out perfect and the owner is great at making waxing not hurt. I also love that this salon sells Aveda products too! Rella did my hair for my wedding and it turned out so pretty! I showed her how I wantedit to look and she matched it perfect! I would never go to another salon because this is the only place that will get it right every time and it won't cost you a fortune to look like a million dollars!

This is a great little salon..no wait this place is Huge ! I didn't realize how far back it went till I got my brows waxed in the spa, which were done beautifully. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make your vist pleasant. They are always running specials on services and retail. The stylist are all very friendly and knowledgeable about hair care. So give salon 21 a try !

WHAT DO YOU SAY WHEN YOUR'E DAUGHTERS WEDDING IS ONLY DAYS AWAY AND THE SALON YOU VISIT RUINS YOUR'E HAIR. WELL, THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AT SALON 21. I RECEIVED A COLOR JOB THAT WAS SO BADTHAT MY REGULAR GIRL AT ZANO'S SALON IN NAPERVILLE WAS SHOCKED. SHE TRIED HER VERY BEST TO CORRECT IT FOR MY SPECIAL DAY. SHE SAID IT WOULD TAKES MONTHS TO CORRECT THE COLOR AND TO TRY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT ( THE HAIR CUT?) MONIQUE MY REGULAR STYLIST IN NAPERVILLE FELT SO BAD FOR ME AND COULD'NT BELIEVE I PAID FOR IT. SHE SAID SUCH A THING WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AT HER SALON. WHAT A COSTLY AND SAD MISTAKE TO HAPPEN JUST A FEW DAYS BEFORE MY DAUGHTERS WEDDING.

My friends and family all know I am a frequent client of SALON 21 and throughout the years I’ve received many gift cards to my favorite salon and spa! I recently used a gift card for a spa day to help relieve some stress and it was amazing! I had a Mani/Pedi, Aveda Spa Facial, Sauna Treatment and Relaxation Massage. A nice personal touch was the lunch brought to me during my pedicure. SALON 21 never disappoints me!

If you're looking for a salon, look no more! Seriously, Salon 21 is amazing! I went in for a haircut but I was so impressed with the cut and service that tomorrow I'm going back for highlights. Yea! Also, I so love that they carry all the Aveda products. Now I don't have to run all over the place to find them.

This was the worst haircut I've ever gotten. Showed her a picture of a softly layered bob with long bangs. Told her NOT to cut the length over and behind my ears.



My ears are sticking out, my bangs are an inch long even though I told her "No don't do that" as she was cutting!!. I would have done better to stick my head in a food processor and saved myself $52.00!!



It will be four to five months to grow this out so that it can be properly shaped.

I finally just had to give this salon a review because they do know their stuff. I have been going to Salon 21 for over 6 years now and I wouldn't trust my hair or beauty care needs to anyone else! Their knowledge of color, fashionable haircuts, and great skincare always impresses me. I always refer my family and friends, and for you who are reading this...I 'm referring you too.

I have had the best experience with this salon. I have been going to my stylist, Dira, for nearly 2 years now and she always does what I want and makes it look even better than I thought. The salon is very professional, clean and stylish. I recently started getting my color done there too, and Dana does a great job. She is fast and listens to what you want and then does it. I would recommend this salon to anyone - the people are so nice and also very skilled.
